History Of Our Program
Kids Scholastic Foundation Of Alabama has a main focus to provide school supplies to kids in need and teachers in low income school areas.
Our goal is to help improve the education process by providing the necessary school supplies and books to ensure educational excellence. We will provide stationary to teachers who qualify for our program when these items are available. Our program will serve grades K-12. Value is placed on education and giving support to kids who are disadvantaged due to economics, family crisis or natural disaster. Our focus is to get needed school supplies in the hands of kids and teachers in the Birmingham and surrounding areas.
We were able to provide over 300 back packs filled with school supplies in 2014 and 300 math tutoring programs and wish to provide more this year. We provide school supplies, books, learning aids, tutoring programs, college test prep materials, computers and any school related items to needy kids and teachers in these areas. We have 100 families under the nonprofit organization who were helped last year and promised a back pack full of school supplies again this year. We want to help other families in addition to these. Most of the 100 families need computers also for their kids to use at home and we are working to help with this. We wish to serve as a resource center for the adopted kids through graduating high school. We are also adopting other programs that will help them receive not only school supplies but college scholarships which will strengthen the economy and community. We are working to provide

More than 200 k-12 disadvantaged students from public schools and homeschools in the Birmingham and surrounding area will receive free after school assessment and practice in math and language arts. This will help us to continue to provide greatly needed educational assistance to children in the Birmingham and surrounding area. This program will help kids practice phonics, increase math skills, and bridge the gap for learning through a specially designed curriculum to bring the student up to their grade level in reading and math.
